The goal of the workshops is to help you unwind, relax, and enjoy yourself after a tiring week while experiencing the unparalleled joy of creation.
Workshops provide a great opportunity for team building, whether you come with friends, family, or colleagues. The experience of creating together and the good atmosphere are guaranteed!
The workshops are held at pre-announced dates. I organize these sessions with a small number of participants to ensure that everyone receives the necessary support and professional guidance, allowing them to hold their handmade ceramic piece in their hands with satisfaction approximately three weeks later.
I provide all the necessary materials and tools for the workshops.
The workshop fee must be paid in advance via bank transfer, based on the payment request sent by email.
If for any reason you are unable to attend the workshop, please notify me via email (szilkeceramics@gmail.com) at least 72 hours before the scheduled date. In this case, we can arrange a new date for you, or you can use the workshop fee as credit for a future session.
After shaping your creations from clay, you head home excitedly, looking forward to the day when you can finally hold your finished masterpiece.
Meanwhile, I take care of everything in the studio to ensure the best possible outcome.
The day after the workshop, I carefully refine the pieces and manage their drying process by covering and uncovering them as needed. If they dry too quickly, they can easily deform or crack.
After about one to one and a half weeks, once they are completely dry, I place them in the kiln for a bisque firing at 950°C.
Then comes the glazing process. Once the selected glazes are applied, the ceramics return to the kiln for their final firing, which gives them their permanent form and color. Each firing cycle, including heating up and cooling down, takes about two days.
